The 80th Annual Academy Awards 2008 - Best Dressed

Yesterday I stood up at 1 am (!!) to watch the Oscars, I live in Germany so I had to stand up that early too see them ... I nearly got no sleep thie night ... but in exchange I was live there at the Oscars 2008!
But I actually think that it wasn't a reaaly great show, I must say that I had expected more.
But of course we saw great appearances and great dresses , I loved the looks of Jessica Alba (in Marchesa), Katherine Heigl (in Escada) and Marion Cotillard (in Jean Paul Gaultier) who won the award for the best actress for La vie en rose.
Penelope Cruz looked also great in a Chanel haute couture dress.
Well I think I don't have to report so much about it , you know anyways everything about it :)
But what do you think about the dresses and the people who got an Oscar ( aww I really think That Johnny Depp should have get the one for the best actor !!! but unfortunately he went home without an Oscar for his work in Sweeney Todd)

The Beige Trenchcoat

Yes , I know the beige trenchcoat is not a new trend , but I think it's such a classy coat, that will never be not trend :) First of all it was the brand label of Burberry , but today you can find them in every shop from every label ( there are great ones at H&M at the moment :) )
I really like the way Peaches Geldof is wearing her trenchcoat not longer than her knees, and looking like a dress... but as we see on Hayden Panettiere it looks also good a way longer.
Kate wore the beige trenchcoat very often in the past, so she brings something new in it with fur , but that's for older ones ( I mean not for youngsters :) )
If you want to get a Sherlock Hollmes touch get yourself a beige trenchcoat :)

Pale Pink - Looking Like A Prima Ballerina

I really like this cute, feathery, delicate look of ballerinas and so I really like this pale pink dresses , that remind me a lot of ballerinas.
If you wear a dress like this , you don't need many accessories a simple necklace or nothing is enough. Black shoes are great , because they are a good contrast to the old rose.
I like it , but I guess nor everyone :) what about you?

ELLE Style Awards 2008

The Elle Style Awards 2008 - for sure it was a really stylish and great event with great guests in lovely outfits.
And of course the winners of the day were lovely too :
Keira Knightley won the award for the best actress, Kate Hudson Elle Icon of the year, Kylie Minouge Women Of The Year and many many more awards were given away... :)
I'm sorry I'm on the run , so I will mybe write some more later on :)

New York Fashion Week 2008

On Friday was the end of the NY Fashion week, there were great shows, great designers, great models and a lot of inspiration. I went through nearly all the pics and here are they : My favourite outfits of my favourite shows :)
I absolutly love the BCBG Max Azria Show, with classy lines a lot of nude colours and tied belts ( I adore this art of belts :) ) There were also some great models on the runway for him ...
The Erin Fetherston collection was great too , flower prints, that I love , coloured tights and a flower-girl-style :)
Badgley Mischka was full of great dresses and feminine outfits.
I also really liked the Anna Sui show, not all , but a lot of her clothes, and I loved the models that run for Anna Sui ( Jessica Stam, Agyness Deyn, Sasha Pivovarova...)
In the Diane von Furstenberg collection I really like the belts to hold the jacket together ( I have seen it before , but not bad at all)
Matthew Williamson showed the flower prints in another version : pixelated flowers, good idea I think :) and fur scarves
Great models were on the runway for Miss Sixty ( and great guests:) )
Jessica Stam for example rocked the show, I think theMiss Sixty collection is a kind of rock chic :)
And the last one Donna Karan , I don't think , that she had some special pieces , but I like the colour and I think overalls will be an important trend for spring...
So that were my favourites , I hope you like my choices ?! But I think the New York fashion week didn't show something we haven't had ... don't you think so? Just tell me your opinion abou the NY fashion week :)

Quilted Bags ~ I Still Love Them

When we think of quilted bags , we think of the chanel 2.55 and of all the celebs who wear them ... Well here are just some pictures of the Olsens and Nicole Richie, because I think they wear them best , but we know that nearly everyone, who is famous has one . But not only the Chanel is good, every quilted bag is great for spring, in every size and every colour ( I prefer red and black) but that's a matter of taste...

The New York fashion Week 2008 Style

The New York Fashion week - there were many great shows and we saw many great outfits, not only on the runway, also the guests wore some beautiful and great outfits, and they were totally "en vogue" :) I picked some of my favourite outfits ... but who doy ou think wore the best outfit during the NY fashion week ? I always love your comments :)

Well I wanted to post more pictures, but at the moment , there is a problem with the configuration and I can't load up the pictures :( Has anyone had this problem and knows how to help me ?
